AN AWESOME SHOW

We traveled from Windsor to see the 2:00 Saturday matinee of Stomp. Only one word can discribe. WOW!!!!!!! The performers were right in sync. They had great stage presence and their audience interaction was hilarious If any of the performers are reading this BRAVO!!! I have no idea where you get the energy to perform that show you must be exhausted after a performance My family and I were very impressed and loved every minute.

EXCELLENT SHOW

This show is one of the best shows that I have seen. It is especially fun for kids. For both of our boys, this show was the first that they ever saw live. They both have great memories of that experience. It is a show that never grows old and is well worth the cost.

EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE

I went to the show on April 10, 2014 with my wife and it was very exciting and entertaining. I liked the combinations of sounds and coordination among the group as a whole. The ability to clear out of a scene and work in multiple positions was also very interesting. This show was designed for the young and the old. In fact, an elderly couple, in their 70's at least, were sitting in front of me and was clapping with the leader as he lead the crowd into participation and I watched them bob their heads as the rhythms chimed within the theater! Overall, I rate this show a 5 - for showmen/womenship and for presentation. Plus, sitting dead-center made the event even better!

OUTSTANDING MUSIC/COMEDY SHOW

My wife and I had seen STOMP in Oklahoma City for her High School Graduation present. Fast forward 10 years later and we buy box seats to one of the best shows I have seen in a long time (I'm looking at you, Varekai!). It has changed a bit in the last 10 years. The most rewarding and refreshing update is the inclusion of more comedy bits. They are all excellent actors and are able convey attitudes and almost words, without speaking. The percussive music is still outstanding, with many traditional performances, and even some new ones! If you missed out on STOMP, you missed some rib-cage rattling, mind blowing, gut splitting fun. I am impressed at BassHall for hosting such a "unique" venue, more of this and you will be attracting younger audiences in the future.

STOMP IN SEATTLE - LOUD, RUCKUS, TOTALLY INSYNC, GREAT

The eight performers at the Seattle show were fantastic. Never did hear or see anything out of sync. The only bad thing I can say has nothing to do with the show: A very large and tall man was in front of us and he kept putting his hands behind his head so he blocked the view of us and probably the people behind us - pretty rude, dude!

HIGH ENERGY

STOMP was 2 hours non-stop high energy entertainment. The very talented artists combined creative physical feats with comedic skits to deliver an unparalleled performance! This is an event to be enjoyed by young & old.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

omg if i could give it more stars i would! i saw the play tonight and this is what i want to do for a living! i love it! i would definitely recommend this for a night in philly. my seats were amazing. i was in the balcony with a perfect view of the stage. i wouldnt take small children because it is very loud and exciting. i found a restaurant about 2-3 blocks away from the kimmel center and it had great service. if you are wondering, it is called the Cinder and the service was great. i hope you choose to see this fantastic play!

MERRIAM THEATER - PHILLY 12/26

Just saw the opening show in Philly. Non stop action for well over 1 1/2 hours. High energy, funny, really got the audience involved. Highly recommend for all ages!

AWESOME

I don't know if the cast will ever see this, but it was our son, Henry, who's exuberant laugh could be heard above anyone else's. Henry, who has Angelman Syndrome, has always been a fan of musicals and theater. STOMP was clearly one of his all time favorites. The cast was amazing with their high energy, humor and skill. We would highly recommend the show!

UNEXPECTED BRILLIANCE!

No words, no music other than these gifted artists and their TRASH...I couldn’t look away. My daughter and I went last night with our friends and I couldn’t stop thinking about how my son should have been there. These artists all danced, played every item, acted without words, and NEVER stopped! I was seriously floored by their talent. You cannot help but appreciate the masked choreography behind this work, their individual percussion and dancing abilities, not to mention...WHAT A WORKOUT! Throw in a skinny nerd for comic relief...and then shock us again with his artistic talent. I will see this again. FANTASTIC job, guys and gals.

CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF STOMP!

I've seen this performance five times and can't wait for it to come back to the Columbus Ohio area again!

INCREDIBLE..

Went to see Stomp March 6 in Detroit. It was fantastic. So much energy. Positive energy. I love how they told a story without one word. They engaged the audience without us even knowing. So fun. And their performance was effortless. They were having a blast !! Thank You Stomp for the wonderful memories !! Highly recommend.

AMAZING

The energy from the performers on stage was felt from every seat. The sounds were coming from an eclectic variety of things. The syncopation was astounding. I enjoyed every minute, especially the end when the audience was invited to join in. The performers were so very talented. What a treat for the ears and eyes!!

WOW WOW WOW

3.0 star rating Disappointed in the performance/behavior of crowd from Phoenix, Arizona

SOMETHING WAS OFF

We watch this show every year. But for some reason this show felt less energetic, rushed, and had poor comedic timing. This crowd was more rowdy than usual and less polite. We usually sit down at orchestra level, but due to finances sat at the balcony level this time around. Not sure that made a difference, but we did not enjoy the seats or the rowdy people around us. There were some that had drank in excess though. It was as if we were in a crowd full of rowdy teenagers, than a musical performance. This really did turn us off to seeing STOMP again, and is making us think twice before going to this theater again, especially in the seats purchased.

NOT WORTH $260 FOR 1ST BALCONY SEATS

The musicians were very talented in their choreography and musical talent. And I’d give them 4 stars. But the Morris charged way too much for the seats. $115 for one seat in the 1st balcony! $260 for two of us. Don’t plan on visiting Morris again.

APPROPRIATE TITLE

The dancers were very talented but I hated the play. I found it long and very boring, and I love live theater. There was little variety in the dance steps, the only difference being the props the cast used i.e. grocery carts instead of brooms as props. After watching the show for 45 minutes I had to get out, I just couldn't take any more. I returned to watch the last fifteen minutes of Stomp and that was too much for me. However, I appear to be in the minority. I couldn't wait for it to end and the majority of the audience gave the performers a standing ovation. I must say it again, the performers were very talented, which is why I rated this performance a two. I would have given Stomp, the play, a zero.

STOMP DENVER

I am going to be truly honest , this show was bad. I kept hearing what a can’t miss show this was and and both me and my wife fell asleep.I expected high energy but it reminded me of a PBS special. I don’t want to hurt any feelings but we were disappointed even though they audience have a standing ovation.

BORING-NO STORYLINE

I know there are others out there that agree with me. They are probably just so happy the show is over and never wanna to think about STOMP again to even write a review. I waited 4 years to see this show! I was super excited that my husband got us tickets. I was so disappointed and even fell asleep twice during the performance. I kept hoping there would be an intermission so I could get up and stretch. I found the show extremely boring and with no storyline to follow, it just seemed as if I was watching a bad episode of America’s Got Talent. The worse scene for me, and what put it over the top horrid was the suit case scene. What were they even doing?

SOMETHING WAS OFF

Don't get me wrong, these performers were very talented but it was very long and kind of boring. Something was off about the comedy. I thought it was really weird that the "comedy" aspects of the show was just multiple characters bullying and intimidating another character just for being a feminine man. It made me uncomfortable. Are we teaching young boys that it's funny to be different from others and that it warrants being bullied? The whole joke was the character was feminine and that was different, and therefore it is funny. Not funny at all. It was really weird. I only gave two stars because the performers worked hard and were clearly talented.

BORING WITH BITS OF FUN

I took my 3 kids to Stomp (ages 11-21). We are all really excited to see the show. It started off fun and exciting and then we all got bored and were waiting for something to happen. The actors / musicians were wonderful and what they were doing was really incredible, but it was just very slow and not all that fun. Every once in a while some loud, upbeat dancing / music happened and we all got back into it. We really enjoyed about 15% of the show. I definitely wouldn’t watch it again- I’m glad I got our tickets on sale. We had great seats (we sat in the balcony so we could see everything looking down). The theatre is beautiful and the crowd was into the show. It just didn’t do it for any of us this time.

STOMP DOWN N OUT

We still laugh about stomp years later it was unbelievably bad, very clumping on the garbage cans the drumsticks I sat there with two friends in utterly embarrassment. We just stared at each other. Like could this be real I look forward to seeing stl for quite a long time and finally got there. It was shockingly bad. Maybe it's improved by now
